The village/camp is situated on the outskirts of the ruins of a city that's name is long-forgotten. The center of the camp is ahuge rusty metal bucket that survivors use for a bonfire at night. The bonfire container is at the crossroads of four dirt paths, one that leads down to the barracks and school building. The roads are lined with torches because a hundred years of no production has destroyed all fossil fuels and batteries. The barracks are composed of two buildings, one for Men and Boys, and one for Women and Girls. Across the path from the barracks is the school building, where classes that teach history, math, literature, survival, farming, and baddies classification are held. (see Barracks and School Building)
The second dirt path leads down to the outskirts of the other buildings, which is where the farms are located. On one side of the path are rows and rows of different fruits, vegetables, and grains. On the other side is pens containing sheep, alpacas, cattle, goats and a hen house. At the end of the path are three farmhouses that the farmers stay in. Behind the farmer's houses are storage sheds and a water tower, that has an ingenious filter that can filter even piss to drinkable water (not that you would want to do that). Behind the storage sheds, finally is a tunnel that leads underground. It's a wide tunnel, held up by sturdy pine pillars. At the end of the tunnel is a clearing, with a large guillotine surrounded by a pen with straps. This is the slaughterhouse, where animals are strapped down so they can't struggle so their death is quick and clean. The survivors do everything in their power to make the end for the animals as humane as possible. (See Farms)Down the third path is the kennels and stables. One the left hand side of the path is the kennels, a concrete building with rows and rows of cages, with dog-food storage (scraps that can't be used from the slaughtered animals.) and hay storage. On the right side of the path is the stables, a huge building with rows of stalls. Behind the stalls building is the turnout pasture, a large pasture with tall grass and where many horses are kept. (See Stables and Kennel)
The fourth path leads to the main building, a squat rectangular building where everyone hangs out in bad weather, or to swap training skills, and knowledge. This is where elders sometimes hangs out, and the council meets for unimportant business. (See Main Building)
In the junctures of each path lie a fire pit and several lawn chairs, where people can hangout. The entire village/camp is surrounded by a huge concrete wall, that has a single heavy metal gate. There are ladders surrouned by locked-link chains that you can climb up, and walk the wall when they are open. Only teenagers and adults are allowed on the wall, and teenagers must be accompanied by an adult.
The world outside is a dark and desolate place, most of the surrounding forests burnt down long ago, and smoldering ruins of the city with the lost names can be seen in the distance. Baddies crawl all over the place, and smoke rises high into the sky which has turned blue once again after many centuries of being an orange-brown.
Just beyond the wall is a mountain, and near the peak of that mountain is a cave. (See the Meeting Cave)
